Bangluang Mosque in Bangkok - Thailand
This mosque was built for Thai Muslims who chose to live along the Bangluang Canal, during King Taksin's fight to liberate Thailand from Burma (1767). It is known today as the Kudi Khao Community. Bang Luang Mosque built by a Muslim merchant called To Yi, it is the only mosque from brick and concrete in traditional Thai style in Thailand. The gables are decked with plaster stucco of tri-ethnic artworks: the traditional motif lining the gable frame, the Westerm foliage motif on the gable panel and the flowers in Chinese floral patterns.;
